A piece of history
For about a hundred years, the Trappeniers family has been performing local, traditional Agriculture. The true history is difficult to unravel, but what we do know is that Nick's great-grandparents were already farming. Nick's grandparents, Alma Verhoeven & Robert Theodoor Trappeniers, subsequently took over the torch. They proudly worked the fields, grew potatoes and chicory and milked the grazing cows. Today, Father Staf still works with just as much passion and love for the current farm.
Farmer Nick
Nick grew up among the cows and on the field, studied horticultural techniques in Leuven and obtained his bachelor's degree in Agro- and Biotechnology in Hasselt. It was during these studies that Bioberg's idea arose. Afterwards he went to work, but the desire to give life to the Bioberg plan continued to itch. He says he has 'eaten enough porridge' about traditional farming, but he prefers to take on the challenges of organic cultivation.
See you on the field!

She followed love to the field, has worked her way through time into farm life and can now proudly call herself a real farmer's wife, what a career switch! With her background, Sofie takes care of the administration, but also the activities on & aside to the field. She will welcome you in the farm shop with a smile. Until then!
